Canix is an organization dedicated to the
behavior and training of dogs. Our broad engagement in this
field has allowed us to develop a new set of training methods
that enables working dogs to learn more complex tasks and to be
more stable in their performance than previously. The techniques
can best be described as "play with rules" and do not
involve the use of electronic collars for punishment.
A group of disability organizations has given Canix an
award
for this new system, because it improves the quality of service
dogs and allows the dogs to be fully trained at 12 months of age
instead of 26-30 months which is the standard.
